5330/5340 IP Phones – IOC IT Guide
Direct Association
If association by DN fails or if it is not an option, the phone can still be associated with by IP
address.
Note: In this case, IOC will not be able to find the phone again if the phone changes IP address.
The user will have to re-associate the phone at the new address. The "Find Phone ..."
command is available from IOC's tray icon and main menus.
Mass Deployment Options
There are two main options to mass deploy IOC: Installation from a network share and
installation using a deployment tool such as SMS.
Install from a central share
In this instance the IntegratedOfficeCompanionIntegratedOfficeCompanionSetup.exe and
IntegratedOfficeCompanion.msi are extracted to a shared network on the network and 2
shortcuts are created, one for installing on Vista, one for installing on XP. Here are the steps to
follow:
1. Create a public share with read & execute permissions for all users of IOC. Lets call this
public share IOC_Install.
2. In this folder create a sub-folder called Files. You can optionally turn the hidden attribute
on for this folder.
3. In IOC_Install\Files place the
IntegratedOfficeCompanionIntegratedOfficeCompanionSetup.exe and
IntegratedOfficeCompanion.msi files.
4. Right-Click in the IOC_Install share and select New/Shortcut. Browse to
IOC_Install\Files\IntegratedOfficeCompanionSetup.exe, click Next, type in XP Install
click Finish.
5. Right-Click this new shortcut and select Properties.
6. In the Target field make sure the path to IntegratedOfficeCompanionSetup.exe is a UNC
path (e.g \\Server\IOC_Install\Files\IntegratedOfficeCompanionSetup.exe).
