Standard User Install of IOC

Any user with a 5300 Mitel phone can install IOC on its laptop by going to

http://www.ingeniussoftware.com/mitel/integratedofficecompanion/ and downloading the installer.

XP users must download the IntegratedOfficeCompanionIntegratedOfficeCompanionSetup.exe

installer while Vista users must download the IntegratedOfficeCompanion.msi installer.

Once downloaded to the computer the user simply start the installer in the usual way and follows

the instructions.

Standard Installation of the Integrated Companion Application software.

1. Shut down all other applications before installing the Integrated Office Companion

Application.

2. From the installation directory, double-click the appropriate install file. For XP use the

IntegratedOfficeCompanionIntegratedOfficeCompanionSetup.exe installer and for Vista

use the IntegratedOfficeCompanion.msi installer.

3. If there is a previous installation of the Integrated Office Companion Application or PC

Companion Application on your PC, the installer indicates that you should remove it

first. Use the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, and scroll to Mitel 5330

5340 PC Companion Application, select it, and click on Remove. When this is

completed, double click IntegratedOfficeCompanionSetup.exe again if you exited the

installation. Otherwise click OK and the installation will continue.

4. Follow the onscreen instructions in the installation program. Optionally, during the

install, you can set up the Integrated Office Companion Application’s association to the

phone. If you choose not to set this up here, you will be required to when you first start

up the Application. (see: “Associating the Integrated Office Companion Application to

Your Phone”)
