The Micro Firewall will filter the packets and allow bursts up to the “credit” limit shown above.
After a protocol type has exhausted its credits with a burst that reached the prescribed limit,
the credits are added back at prescribed rates. For instance, the Micro Firewall may allow up
to 50 ICMP packets in a burst, then discard any additional ones that arrive before the Micro
Firewall will begin adding credits at the rate of 5 a second.
All packets blocked by the Micro Firewall will be discarded transparently at the Ethernet layer
without the phone’s upper layers being affected in any way.

NuPoint Unified Messaging
As of MCD Release 5.0, the 3300 ICP is able to provide Automatic Gain Control (AGC) on calls
destined for NuPoint that originated on 3300 ICP LS trunks. Use of AGC can alleviate problem
calls where the audio is too low.
The AGC capability resides in the 3300 ICP, however it is a selected via an option on NuPoint
Messenger. The default setting is AGC off. The AGC capability is only switched on when the
Administrator enables it on NuPoint, once AGC is enabled on NuPoint then NuPoint will send
a request to the 3300 ICP to have AGC turned on.
DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephony)
When multiple DECT base station units (Radio Fixed Part (RFP)) are connected to the 3300
ICP using ISDN (BRI or PRI), the reference clock source in the ICP must be accurate to better
than ± 5 ppm. This allows seamless hand-over between RFP units without loss of connection.
If there is no reference source from the PSTN (which is often better than ± 1 ppm), the local
clock needs to provide this accuracy.
